Abstract:
Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a complex metabolic disorder characterized by hyperglycemia, insulin resistance, and pancreatic β-cell dysfunction. The management of T2DM involves a multifaceted approach, including lifestyle modifications, pharmacotherapy, and monitoring of glycemic control. Pharmaceutic agents have played a pivotal role in the management of T2DM, with various classes of medications targeting different aspects of the pathophysiology of the disease.
