Abstract:
This research paper delves into the concept of Constitutional Humanism, which plays a pivotal role in shaping India’s democracy and its commitment to equality. By analyzing the Indian Constitution and its guiding principles, we examine the philosophical underpinnings of Constitutional Humanism, which not only envisions a just society but also ensures protection and promotion of human dignity. This paper evaluates how India’s legal and constitutional framework facilitates democracy and equality, exploring the ideals of justice, liberty, and fraternity embedded within the Constitution. We also discuss the practical challenges faced in translating these ideals into reality and how India's evolving political, social, and economic landscape impacts its commitment to these principles.
