Abstract:
This research paper aims to explore and evaluate public anxiety within topic-based communities in social networks. As online social networks continue to grow and evolve, they have become essential platforms for people to engage in discussions and share information on various topics. However, the proliferation of misinformation, echo chambers, and online harassment has raised concerns about the impact of social networks on users' mental well- being. This study investigates how specific topic-based communities within social networks may contribute to public anxiety and identifies potential factors influencing anxiety levels. Through a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative data analysis and qualitative user interviews, the research aims to shed light on the nature and implications of public anxiety in these online communities
