Abstract:

Fruit rot is a significant issue in ridge gourd cultivation, leading to considerable yield losses and economic setbacks for farmers. This study explores a range of strategies to combat fruit rot, emphasizing sustainable approaches such as cultural practices, biological controls, and the development of disease-resistant varieties. The integration of these methods with precision agriculture and organic amendments shows promise in reducing disease incidence and enhancing productivity. Despite challenges like high costs and limited farmer awareness, adopting a comprehensive management approach can mitigate the impact of fruit rot. This research highlights the importance of innovative and sustainable practices in ensuring crop health and profitability.
