Abstract:
Electron-driven collision cross-section analysis is crucial for understanding electron interactions with atoms and molecules, impacting various scientific and technological fields. This paper explores experimental and theoretical methodologies for determining collision cross-sections, including electron beam methods, quantum mechanical calculations, and semi-empirical models. The significance of cross-section data is highlighted in plasma modeling, astrophysics, radiation physics, and environmental science. Despite advancements, challenges such as data inconsistencies and complex molecular interactions persist. Future research aims to refine computational techniques and integrate machine learning for improved accuracy. This study underscores the importance of precise cross-section data in advancing fundamental and applied sciences.
