Abstract:

Vehicle theft is a common problem due to which people have lost their vehicles, faced many difficulties to find them, and sometimes failed even after a lot of struggles. To overcome this problem, we introduce the “ANTI-THEFT VEHICLE SECURITY SYSTEM BY RFID, GSM AND GPS WITH ACCIDENT DETECTION” with which we can find the vehicles which were either theft or met with an accident without any strenuous efforts. The system uses RFID authentication to control access, granting or denying engine start based on authorized tags. If unauthorized access is detected, it triggers a buzzer and sends an SMS alert to the owner. The owner can reply by lifting the call to allow access or "NO" to remotely disable the engine or lock the vehicle. Combining RFID and GSM for local control and remote alerts, the system offers dual-layer protection against theft. On the other hand, when accident occurs the owner can also trace the location of the vehicle where he gets the information in terms of latitude and longitude using GPS. All these operations are controlled us using an ATMEGA328 microcontroller.
