Abstract:
The "Application of RFID Technology and CO Sensor for Vehicle Emission Inspection in Cities over IoT" is an integrated system designed to improve vehicle emission monitoring and ensure environmental compliance in urban areas. Using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, the system enables the seamless identification and tracking of vehicles as they pass through designated inspection zones. Each vehicle is equipped with an RFID tag, allowing real-time data collection and verification of its emission status. The system incorporates a Carbon Monoxide (CO) sensor to detect the levels of harmful gases emitted by vehicles, providing accurate, on-the-spot emission measurements. The data collected by the CO sensor is sent to an external device using a GSM module for processing and analysis. This data is accessible to authorities and fleet managers, enabling remote monitoring of emissions across the city. The IoT framework allows for the automation of data recording, reducing human error, and facilitating faster inspections. By leveraging RFID and CO sensors, the system not only improves the efficiency of emission inspections but also supports regulatory enforcement by quickly identifying non-compliant vehicles. This innovative solution promotes better air quality, contributes to sustainable urban environments, and aids in reducing vehicle emissions, making it a valuable tool for smart city infrastructure and environmental management.
