Abstract:

This paper presents an automated attendance management system utilizing face detection and recognition algorithms. The proposed system identifies and records a student's attendance automatically upon entry into the classroom by recognizing their face. The architecture and algorithms employed at each stage of the system are discussed in detail. Various real-time scenarios are examined to assess the performance of different face recognition techniques. Additionally, the paper explores methods to mitigate potential security threats, such as spoofing attacks. Compared to traditional attendance methods, the proposed system enhances efficiency by saving time and enabling better student monitoring.
