Abstract:

Financial assets with a lengthy or indefinite duration are traded on the capital market. It often works with long-term securities that have a maturity date longer than a year. The capital market may be further separated into three categories: long-term loans, government securities, and industrial securities. The market for industrial securities is further separated into two categories: the secondary market, also known as the stock exchange, and the primary market, also known as the new issue market. Another name for the government securities market is the gilt-edged securities market. Government securities are traded on this market. The market for long-term loans is separated into three categories: mortgages, financial guarantees, and term loans. Economic development and capital production are inhibited by the lack of capital market tools. If funds were not directed via the capital market, resources would remain unutilised.
