Abstract:
Illegal activities such as deforestation, poaching, and smuggling pose severe threats to the environment and biodiversity. To effectively combat these challenges, the adoption of innovative monitoring systems is essential. This project introduces an IoT-based solution specifically designed to protect forests and prevent smuggling activities within forested areas. The proposed system is built around the ESP32 microcontroller, which functions as the central processing unit. It collects data from a range of sensors and transmits the information to the Blynk IoT platform for real-time visualization and analysis. One of the key components is the ADXL335 MEMS sensor, which detects vibrations that may result from human or vehicle movement.
