Different people have different investment objectives. While some prioritise safety, others may place more importance on profits in isolation. Everyone has different priorities in life; some may want to save for their children's college expenses, while others may be saving for the "rainy day" or their retirement. Since the goals might be anywhere, it stands to reason that the goods needed would also be different.
