Abstract:
In addition to its many other uses, such as security and information exchange, quick response (QR) codes have antenna applications. The use of QR-Code pixelated antennas in wireless communication and security applications is revolutionary. They are widely sought after for a variety of applications, from consumer electronics to industrial systems, because to their small size, compatibility with current infrastructure, and ability to support efficient data transmission. Using QR code structures as antennas in wireless communication applications is the main objective of this work. It is built on an inexpensive FR4 substrate board. A complete ground plane and a QR pixelated coaxial-fed patch resonator provide a wide bandwidth of 8 to 9.6 GHz in the proposed antenna design. After running simulations on the important parameters, we found that the proposed small QR antenna design could achieve the desired levels of return loss and radiation gain.
