Abstract:
Financial literacy plays a crucial role in ensuring economic stability and independence, particularly for women. Despite its importance, a significant gender gap in financial literacy persists, with working women in rural and urban areas facing distinct challenges. This paper examines the barriers to financial literacy among working women in rural versus urban settings, investigating factors such as access to resources, educational background, socio-cultural influences, and the role of digital literacy. Through a comparative analysis, this study highlights the unique obstacles faced by these two groups and suggests targeted interventions for promoting financial literacy.
