Abstract:

This research paper delves into a comparative analysis of the American poet Walt Whitman and the ancient Vedic poets from India, with the aim of uncovering common threads of transcendentalism that weave through their respective bodies of work. Transcendentalism, as a philosophical and literary movement, explores the idea of a higher spiritual reality that transcends the physical world. Both Whitman and the Vedic poets express this transcendental perspective in their poetry, albeit from different cultural and temporal contexts.
